This novella follows the lore established in the short story, “The Beast of Always,” a journal entry by Edward Bon Traeger, published in the Graveside Press Cryptid Anthology in 2025. This story is set nearly 100 years later (nearer to modern day) around the events in a small coastal town when disappearances and strange mutated bodies begin cropping up. It is up to the Sheriff, his Deputy, and the M.E. to figure out their cause, but when a strange man comes to help (Bon Traeger) they discover something unimaginable has plagued their town.
